Give us the PAC and the number it belongs to. Add it during checkout or email it afterwards — the code stays valid for 30 days.
We do the rest
We arrange the switch with both networks. Your number moves to the new line, usually the next working day, and your old contract closes automatically.
Moving several numbers? Send us one code per line and we'll co-ordinate them so the whole team switches together.
Will I lose service while it switches?
No. Your old line keeps working right up until the switch completes, and the new one takes over the same day. There's a short window — usually minutes — where calls may not connect while the number moves between networks.
Switches complete on working days. Send a code on a Friday afternoon and it'll go through on the Monday.
What if I don't want to keep the number?
Text STAC to 75075 instead. That gives you a Switching Alternative Code, which closes your old account without transferring the number — useful if you're retiring a line rather than moving it.
If you do nothing at all, your old contract carries on and you'll be paying two providers. Always send one code or the other.
Will my old provider charge me to leave?
They might, if you're still inside a minimum term. The text they send with your PAC states the exact figure, so you'll know before you commit to anything.
Worth doing the sum: at £19.95 a line with £150 cashback, an exit fee is often less than what you'd save over the year. Email hello@businessphonesdirect.co.uk and we'll work it through with you.
How many numbers can I move at once?
As many as you like. Each line needs its own PAC, sent from that handset. Send them together and we'll schedule the whole switch for the same day, so nobody is left behind on the old network.
